시놉시스

저예산으로 영화 ‘시민케인’을 리메이크하던 도중에 감독과 노배우가 연기 때문에 큰 다툼을 벌이게 된다. 이에 화가 난 노배우는 술을 마시다가 사망하고 이에 영화 촬영은 큰 위기에 봉착한다. 프로듀서는 재정상의 큰 손실을 감수하고 영화촬영을 중단할 것인지 아니면 어떻게는 계속 촬영을 할 것인지 고민하다가 결국 노배우의 시체와 함께 촬영을 무사히 마친다.
When death arrives on the set of a low budget remake of “Citizen Kane” threatening the production. A manipulative producer is left with the dilemma of stopping the film at great financial loss or continuing by any means necessary.

연출의도

10년동안 광고분야 일을 하다, 단편영화를 연출하기로 마음먹었다. 스튜디오 안에서 촬영되는 이야기이지만, 우리 일상에서 일어나는 모순은 새로운 것이 아니며, 코미디를 만들기 아주 좋은 방법이다. 유머를 만들기 위한 가장 좋은 방법은 가장 리얼하게 만드는 것이라 생각했다.
After spending 10 years in the advertising world I decided to direct a short film. After searching for the best story to tell in a small amount of time, I really wasn’t satisfied. It was only when I decided to write about what I knew best... on set egos, that I hit upon an idea that can be told quickly and that everyone can relate to. This film is set in a cinema studio but in all reality it could be in an office or a factory. The constant hypocrisy in our daily lives is nothing new, and definitely a great way to set up a comedy.
In directing the film I felt the easiest way to set up the humor was to play it as real as possible. Most of the situations between producer and director are situations I’ve been in or witnessed, so it wasn’t that hard to get the actors performances to be as natural as possible.
