시놉시스

자신이 게이라는 것을 알고 떠나버린 남자로 인해 슬픔에 잠긴 그녀는 어느 날 새벽 더러운 남자 화장실에서 스스로 목숨을 끊는다.
The man left her when he realized that he was gay. Heart-broken, she kills herself in a dirty men’s room in the early morning.

연출의도

나는 영화 <경멸>을 통해 단순히 게이라고 불리는 사람들에 대해 이야기 하고 싶진 않았다. 그녀를 통해 우리 내부에 존재하는 모순된 이중성, 허위와 가식을 이야기하고 싶었다. 이 세상에 절대 진리란 없다. 누구도 죄인이 아니며, 또한 재판관이 될 수 없다. 우리 모두 고독한 존재다. 또한 사회의 그늘에서 소외 받고 있는 모든 이들에게 내 작은 영화를 통해서나마 우리들의 따듯한 시선을 전하고 싶었다. 도덕이란 가면 속에 감추어진 광기를 난 알고 있다.
Through this film, I didn’t want to merely talk about people called ‘gay’. Through her, I wanted to talk about the duality, the hypocrisy and the pretense existing in our own minds. There is no such thing as ‘the truth’ in this world. Nobody is a criminal, and cannot become a judge, either. We are all lonely beings. I also wanted to convey the warmth in our eyes with my little piece of work to all the alienated people under the shadows of the society. I know the madness covered with the mask called ‘morality’.
