시놉시스

모스 쿠간, 20년 넘게 일한 직장에서 짤린 독실한 아일랜드 카톨린 신자. 해고를 당한 이후로, 모스는 볼링팀의 캡틴을 맡으면서 취직하기를 계속 피하기만 한다
We Follow Moss Coogan, a displaced Irish Catholic who was unceremoniously terminated from a twenty year plus run as foreman of a Toronto abattoir. Since his firing, Moss has eluded gainful employment at all costs, choosing instead to spend his night as a captain of a parish duckpin bowling team.

연출의도

모스는 비극, 블랙코미디, 침묵과 거의 보이지 않는 감정의 변화를 주고받는 이야기이다. 한 남자의 무언가를 잊어버린 듯한 것을 찾기 위해 내면의 몸부림과 한 가족이 ‘한계’라는 것을 알게 되고 기대치 않았던 사랑을 찾게 되기 까지를 보여준다.
Moss is a story that trades on equal parts tragedy and black wit, quiet, almost invisible emotional gradients and bombast. It is a look at one man’s struggle to find an inner resolve he thought lost and one family’s discovery of the limits and unexpected depths of a love once rusted shut.
