- 엄마를 찾아 한국으로 온 현이. 집처럼 친절할거라 생각했던 한국 교포타운은 낯설기만 하고 기다리고 기다리던 엄마의 모습은 그림자조차 찾기 힘들다.
“Where is my mother?” Hyon-yi, a Korean-Chinese girl, looks for her mother in Korea. But, her mother is not there.

- 교포들이 많이 사는 가리봉 교포타운. 한국에 처음 오게 된 조선족 현이의 시점으로 보여줌으로서 생각과 다른 교포타운의 모습과 그 곳의 삶의 정서를 신파를 피해 실제 교포를 출연시켜 영상과 판타지로 보여주고자 하였다.
Garibong Chinese town is the place many Korean-Chinese live. Through the viewpoint of Hyun-yi, who visits Korea for the first time, I wanted to portray the real Chinese town, which is quite different from our expectation. I wanted to present its atmosphere and the emotion through the visual images and fantasies. I casted a real Korean-Chinese, and tried to avoid becoming too melodramatic.
