시놉시스

베트남에서 한국으로 시집 온 로안은 도착하자마자 시어머니와 함께 미장원에 간다.
As soon as Loan arrives in Korea from Vietnam to live with her Korean husband, her mother-in-law takes her to a beauty salon first and lets her get a perm.

연출의도

한국인과의 결혼을 통해 한국으로 들어오는 아시아 여성들은 한국에 도착한 순간부터 한국인이 될 것을 강요당한다. 그녀들의 한국인 가족들은 한국에서 며느리로서 아내로서 어머니로서 어떻게 살아야 하는지를 가르친다. ‘여자는 죽어도 시집귀신이 되어야 한다’는 이야기와도 통한다. 한국여자들조차도 거부하는 이 오래된 신념이 이국(異國)에서 온 그녀들에게는 왜 강요되는 것일까?
Asian women who come to Korea to marry Korean men are forced to become Korean women as soon as they get to Korea. Their Korean families teach them how to live as a mother-in-law, a wife and a mother. This is related to a Korean myth, which says that once women get married, they must be loyal to their husbands´ family. Why do Koreans force those who from other countries to comply with this conventional idea when even Korean women are not willing to accept it?
