시놉시스

생계와 가사와 육아를 모두 담당해야 하는 ‘아내’는 피로하다. 언제부터인가 남편과는 대화도 되지 않고 밤새 이어지는 남편과 동료들의 술자리는 알아들을 수 없는 웅얼거림만이 있다.
‘Wife’ is exhausted to take care of living, housework and childcare. It is not clear since when, but she cannot have a real conversation with her husband. And, at the table her husband and his colleagues have drinks, there are only murmuring noises that cannot be understood.

연출의도

나를 포함해서 많은 사람들이 우리의 어머니와 아내, 형수들이 꾸리는 여성의 진정한 모습을 잘 모르고 있다. 나는 이 영화에서 그 여성들의 들풀 같은 생활을 보여주고 싶었다. 아울러 모성애에 기반한 여성의 본성적인 강인함을 담보로 끊임없이 여성의 인내와 수고를 요구하는 우리 사회의 가부장적인 성의 구도를 드러내고 싶었다.
Many people including myself does not know the real selves of women: our mothers, wives, and sisters-in-law. I wanted to show those women’s lives which are similar to wild flowers. In addition, I wanted to expose the patriarchal sexual structure of our society that requires constant endurance and hard work from women, guaranteed by women’s innate strength based on maternal affection.
