시놉시스

변두리에 위치한 지하의 동시상영 삼류영화관에서 매점직원과 매표원으로 일하는 강정자는 서른을 넘긴 노처녀이다. 오늘은 그녀가 맞선 보기로 한 남자가 찾아오는 날이다.
KANG Jung-Ja is over thirty years old. She works at a shabby, second-class movie theater, which is located underground in the suburbs. She works at the ticket office and at the snack corner at the same time. Today, her blind date is coming to see her.

연출의도

이 영화는 혼기를 놓쳐버린 한 노처녀의 이야기를 다루고 있다. 자기자신의 처지나 분수를 헤아리기 보다는 늘 대하고 사는 싸구려 영화의 영향으로 인해 헛된 꿈을 꾸며 산다. 여주인공 강정자의 멋진 맞선 상대자는 우리 모두가 가지고 있는 꿈과 이상을 대변한다. 하지만 자신의 꿈을 이루고 사는 사람은 극소수에 불과하고 대부분은 일생 동안 자신의 야망이나 환상에 대한 끊임없는 배반을 경험하며 살아갈 뿐이다.
This film is a story about a thirty-something woman, who already missed the right time to get married. Under the influence of cheap movies she sees everyday, she is always day-dreaming, rather than thinking straight about her current situation. Her blind date represents the dream and the ideal that we all have in mind. But, there are only a few people who had their dreams realized. Most of us experience our ambitions and fantasies constantly betrayed for whole life, and just live on.
