시놉시스

혼자 샛강에서 스케이트를 타다가 장애우 소년을 만나 도망치는 보영. 이후 어색하고 미안한 마음에 다시 샛강을 찾지만 소년은 그곳에 없고 보영은 돌아온다.
Skating on the river, Bo-Young met a disabled boy and ran away. She felt awkward and sorry, so she visited the river again. The boy was not there, and Bo-Young comes back.

연출의도

나는 처음에 이 이야기에 관심을 가지게 된 이유가 장애인을 처음 대할 때 느끼는 어색함 때문이라고 생각했다. 뉴욕에서 지내는 동안 한 장애인 친구를 만나게 되었고 그 친구로 인 하여 많은 다른 종류의 신체적 장애를 가진 사람들을 만나게 되었는데 각기 다른 장애에 대 해 잘 알지 못하고 장애로 인하여 겪어야 했던 인생의 골을 미처 이해하지 못함으로 어색하고 미안한 순간들을 경험하게 되었다. 하지만 촬영 이틀째가 지나서야 보영이가 느끼는 감정이 내 마음속에 풀지 못한 숙제처럼 깊이 남아있었던 안타까움이라는 연결고리를 깨닫게 되었다.
The reason I first got interested in this story is the awkwardness one feels when he/she first meets a disabled person. When I was in New York, I got to know a disabled friend, and got to meet people with different physical troubles. I had no understanding of the different kinds of disabilities. I had no idea how much they were hurt and how much ups and downs they had to endure only because of their disabilities. Because of such lack of understanding, I experienced awkward moments. It was only my second day of shooting that I realized the connection; a frustration remained at the bottom of my heart, just like a homework I could not solve.
